Shooting Outside My Comfort Zone

This past month, I wanted to shoot out of my comfort zone.
I meet YoungSong and YounSeo through a freelance job I was working for.
I had never photographed twins and challenged myself.
Portraiture and I don’t really get along.
I find it difficult to bring out the person’s personality through the photograph.

With the help of Christina J Kim, I took this challenge and took a more minimalist approach to this shoot.
The location chosen is Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul (Where Seoul Fashion Week located every year).
I had been there several times and always found the architecture and space very clean but futuristic.
With some inspiration from other photographers like Paul Jung,
I decided to give it a try and add our own twist into it.

I want to thank the Park brothers for lending me their time and for being such
a great friendship in the short time we’ve known each other.
A special thank you to Christina for helping me with outfit, ideation, and art direction. Without her, all these poses would have not been captured the way they are, all I had in mind was location.

Would love to hear your feedback!
And if you enjoyed my work, don’t forget to share it with your friends and family!
